In Zambia, Chreso Ministries had a vision to build a HIV clinic that would become a Center for Excellence. Glaxo-Smith-Kline invested some funds for the initial construction, but within months this facility was overcrowded with an urgent need to expand. Living Hope Clinical Foundation invested funds to begin the renovation and development of this dream. The dream became a reality and Chreso has had distinguished visits from then President George Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, the Global AIDS Ambassador for the United States, heads of USAID and several US Senators, and has been recognized internationally has a model of public-private partnership in HIV care and treatment. Chreso Ministries has since opened up two additional clinics in Livingstone and Kabwe and now receives direct USG funding to support its expanding operations.
